Formed in Los Angeles in the Spring of 1992, Spock's Beard built a solid and loyal following with their first two releases, The Light and Beware of Darkness. The group now introduced themselves to a wider audience with their first nationally distributed release, The Kindness of Strangers on Metal Blade/Radiant Records.
Consummate and seasoned professionals, individually the members of Spock's Beard have performed or recorded with Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Genesis, and Tears For Fears. Drummer Nick D'Virgilio is one of the more high profile members of the band. He is currently featured on the latest Genesis record and recently recorded with Peter Gabriel. Ryo Okumoto brings his Hammond Organ and Mellotron to the band after stints with Phil Collins and Eric Clapton. Bassist Dave Meros joined the band after working with Eric Burdon and Gary Myrick. Rounding out the band is Alan Morse on guitar, cello and Mellotron, and Neal Morse, who writes all the band's material and contributes lead vocals, piano, synths, and guitars. Neal is the creative mind behind the band, writing the majority of its material from standard four minute tunes to 15 minute rock suites. "Writing this music is so much fun because you can follow the music to wherever it seems to want to go," says Morse "On The Kindness of Strangers, we do have a few shorter tunes along with the epics."
Influences of the band include Yes, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Genesis, Pink Floyd and many other progressive rock greats from the 70's! Small wonder that Spock's Beard seems to command such respect from fans of those bands.
"Spock's Beard is the most fulfilling band that I've been in," says bassist Meros. "Neal's songs are consistently superb, everyone can really play add everyone really gets to play. It ROCKS!"

The Similitude of a Dream, is the most acclaimed release that Morse has helmed to date. The 2017 tour was their largest yet, including new continents for the band. At the O13 in Tilburg, Holland, the stars aligned for the most commanding performance of the run, and it was captured for live release in stunning quality. "An epic night on an epic tour," proclaims Neal Morse. Released by Radiant/SONY/Metal Blade, it will be available on Blu-Ray and 2CD/2DVD. Neal Morse/Life & Times ....CD $16.99
Now in his mid-fifties and his children grown up, there is a sense on his new album, Life & Times, that Morse is looking around and taking stock. "I've come through a lot of difficult times and I'm in a fairly content place now," he says. "You can feel that on some of the songs." Much of this acoustic-orientated, singer/songwriter' album was written while he was travelling around the world on "The Road Called Home" tour in 2017, with some of the songs being inspired by the places he visited, while others are from spending time with his family. For example, "Manchester" is a musical portrait of that notorious rarity - a sunny day in Manchester, England - when Morse was sitting in a coffee shop watching the world go by. "Selfie in the Square" captures what he saw walking around Luxembourg City, hearing the cathedral bells and children playing, but realizing what a difference it makes to share these experiences. "Luxembourg was really nice, but I knew that if my wife was there, it would feel like a holiday, so I wrote a song about it to send to her," he explains. Some of these slice-of-life portraits also resonate with other people's heartaches, such as "Joanna," which focuses on Morse's son dealing with the loss of a relationship and - most poignantly - "He Died at Home," about a mother's grief over the loss of her soldier son. Life & Times gives listeners the chance to hear a different but equally powerful side of this artist's musical heart.
Spock's Beard/Snow - Live! ....2CD + 2DVD Set $24.99
Spock's Beard/Snow - Live! ....double Blu-Ray $24.99
Spock's Beard featuring Neal Morse and all members past and present perform "Snow" for the first time ever at Morsefest 2016! At last year's annual Morsefest in Nashville, the dream of every Spock's Beard fan in attendance came true. The band's original lineup, and current members, performed the critically acclaimed double-disc concept album, Snow, in its entirety. It was a moment in time fans never thought they'd ever get a chance to see. Snow was the last album that Neal Morse recorded with the band before quitting in 2002. Now it's time for fans worldwide of Spock's Beard and Neal Morse to experience that night for themselves. Spock's Beard features Neal Morse (lead vocals, piano, synths, electric and acoustic guitar), Alan Morse (electric guitars, vocals), Ted Leonard (electric and acoustic guitar, vocals), Jimmy Keegan (drums, percussion, vocals), Nick D'Virgilio (drums, percussion, vocals, acoustic guitars), Ryo Okumoto (keyboards--hammond organ, mellotron, jupiter 8, minimoog, vocoder), and Dave Meros (bass, vocals). "It is difficult for me to know what to say about Snow and Spock's Beard and this whole amazing event that happened in 2016," says Neal Morse. "I guess what I would like to share from my perspective is that this is an album that meant a lot to many people. It touched the hearts and lives and had profound meaning to people all over the world and in a way, it was like the child that myself and the band bore and then put up for adoption. Since we never played it live and I quit the band right after the album was finished, we never got to experience what it meant to others. We never got to see how it lived out in the world. Until now. I think we always knew that we were going to get together and play it at some point. It just needed to happen. But, as you can imagine, there was a lot of pain associated with this album. So, while Nick (D'Virgilio) had brought it up several times over the years, there was always so much going on in our lives that we put it off and said we were too busy. It just never felt like the right time. Or that's the way it seemed anyway."
Progreport.com called the Morsefest 2016, "...an event for the ages. For any Spock's Beard and Neal Morse fan it was a wish come true but it also showed the power of this Prog community which continues to bring people from all corners of the world together to celebrate great music and make friends. If you were there, it will be a memory for a lifetime, if you weren't, don't miss the next one!" As Neal Morse concludes, "Obviously, the stars aligned and many prayers were answered as we gathered to play the Snow album in its entirety for the first time at Morsefest 2016. Some brilliant person had the idea to enlist the extreme talents of both Jimmy (Keegan) and Ted (Leonard) which brought a dazzle and musicality that is off the chart. Between that and Rich Mouser's astounding mix, not to mention Thad Kesten's team of amazing video people, this is one of the finest live concert packages of which I have ever been involved."
Neal Morse Band/Morsefest 2015: "?" and "Sola
Scriptura" LIVE! ....4 CD + 2 DVD Set $35.99
Neal Morse Band/Morsefest 2015: "?" and "Sola Scriptura" LIVE! ....double Blu-Ray $24.99
Hot on the heels of 2016's most acclaimed progressive rock release, The Similitude of a
Dream, the Neal Morse Band announces the massive live release of a once-in-a-lifetime
concert event: Morsefest 2015. In addition to the Neal Morse Band, featuring Mike
Portnoy, the 38 musicians on stage create a prog orchestra. Over two nights (one on each
video disc) in 2015, they perform new arrangements of material from Neal Morse's career.
The two concerts span over five hours, venturing beyond the studio versions they're based
on. In addition to complete performances of the Sola Scriptura and Question albums, there
are songs from Spocks's Beard (featuring guest Nick D'Virgilio), Transatlantic, and
surprises - including performances with guitar legend Phil Keaggy. Accompanied by
extravagant visuals, including three video screens and live dancers, Morsefest 2015 is the
most massive live release of Morse's career. Morsefest 2015 was an epic show with
epic music and epic performances! Free from the constraints of studio recording
deadlines, Morse added any instrumentation he imagined, including live strings, a 5-piece
horn section, and a 14-piece choir (in addition to background singers, and the vocals of
the band). At the center is the Neal Morse Band: singer/guitarist/keyboardist Neal Morse,
drummer Mike Portnoy, bassist Randy George, keyboardist Bill Hubauer and guitarist Eric
Complimenting this level of musicality, is a multimedia visual presentation. It begins with the most elaborate lighting set-up Morse has ever used, constructed specifically for this event, designed by Ryan Proplesch. A video graphics track, projected on three screens, was created by media artist Christian Rios to illustrate every moment of each song. Live dancers provide further visual interpretations, adding a dimension to the performance that is rare in progressive rock. In addition to both concerts, a one-hour documentary puts audiences behind the scenes for this epic event. Featuring candid moments from the band, other musicians, and crew - it's an engaging glimpse into the whirlwind staging of this event. And there's even a Prog Jeopardy featurette. Sonically, outstanding audio is delivered by veteran mix engineer by Rich Mouser, who has helmed every Neal Morse, Spock's Beard, and Transatlantic studio album. The package is presented as either 2 Blu-ray discs, or 2 DVDs with 4 CDs. "Morsefest 2015 was absolutely incredible for me! We performed Question and Sola Scriptura plus a lot of other really cool stuff with full choir, horns, orchestral percussion, strings, piano harp, Cuika and dancers! The artwork on the video wall was absolutely mind blowing. Combine that with the atmosphere of the community of fans and the love in the room ... it was definitely a peak experience in my career, and I think the DVD and Blu-ray are among the finest we've ever produced. - Neal Morse. Morsefest 2015 happened only once. Viewers can now experience it any time, with stunning visuals and audio fidelity. And audiences can hear the next chapter of the Neal Morse Band, performing The Similitude of a Dream in its entirety, across Europe and selected world locations, throughout the spring of 2017.

Flying Colors/Flying Colors ....double vinyl LP $21.99
It started with a simple idea: virtuoso musicians and a pop singer joining to make new-fashioned music the old fashioned way. A band followed, evolving into Flying Colors: Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals), Dave LaRue (bass), Neal Morse (keyboards, vocals), Casey McPherson (lead vocals), and Steve Morse (guitar). Together, they create a unique fusion of vintage craftsmanship, contemporary music and blistering live performances. It needed exactly the right musicians. In addition to be being extraordinary players and writers, they would need to be a natural creative fit, complementing each others' abilities. There would be proven chemistry from past collaborations, but the new band would be different from anything they'd done. The world didn't need another supergroup. As with the classic albums, there also would be a strong production team who, creatively, would be an extension of the band: a visionary producer, imaginative engineer and compelling visual artist. Though they were seasoned artists with impressive backgrounds and catalogs, this would be new territory for most of them. And without a budget or a label, they came together with nothing more than a shared vision to create something special and unique.

It started with a simple idea: virtuoso musicians and a pop singer joining to make new-fashioned music the old fashioned way. A band followed, evolving into Flying Colors: Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals), Dave LaRue (bass), Neal Morse (keyboards, vocals), Casey McPherson (lead vocals, guitars), and Steve Morse (guitars). Together, they create a unique fusion of vintage craftsmanship, contemporary music and blistering live performances. Their self titled debut album proved the former. Now comes Flying Colors Live in Europe to demonstrate the latter. Live In Europe captures the quintet in Tilburg, NL performing at 013 on September 20, 2012. The DVD and Blu-Ray editions include the 45 min. documentary 'First Flight' featuring exclusive interviews with each band member, meet & greet footage and candid moments on the road captured during the 2012 tour. Flying Colors/Second Flight: Live at the Z7 ....double CD + Blu-Ray $19.99
In 2014, on the 8th show of their fall tour, Flying Colors took to the stage at Switzerland's storied Z7 venue and on film captured a breathtaking live performance. With their critically acclaimed sophomore album Second Nature out for only a week, the concert recorded an exceptional rarity: band and audience, together, discovering an album for the first time. Featuring Steve Morse (guitar), Mike Portnoy (drums), Neal Morse (keyboards), Dave LaRue (bass) and Casey McPherson (vocals).
Flying Colors/Second Nature .....CD $16.99
Flying Colors' second studio album, Second Nature. The finest in muso-prog-pop! Flying Colors band members, Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals), Dave LaRue (bass), Neal Morse (keyboards, vocals), Casey McPherson (lead vocals), and Steve Morse (guitar), have created their second, slightly proggier album that Portnoy says he likes even better than the first! Perhaps Steve Morse summed it up best when he said, "This is an album full of many layers. The more you listen, the more you can hear. It's an album to keep listening to." Teaming the talents of such heavyweight names as Deep Purple/Dixie Dregs/ex-Kansas guitarist Steve Morse, drummer Mike Portnoy (Transatlantic, Winery Dogs, ex-Dream Theater), Neal Morse (Transatlantic, Spock's Beard and a prolific solo artist), bass player Dave LaRue (Dixie Dregs, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and more) with a comparatively new talent, pop singer/songwriter Casey McPherson, the band challenged conventional wisdom about combining virtuoso music and melodic songwriting. Or, as the quintet's modus operandi was once memorably defined by founder Bill Evans, 'crafting new-fashioned music the old-fashioned way.' Sporting stunning artwork from the legendary designer Hugh Syme (Rush, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Whitesnake) and bookended by two tracks of truly epic stature - 'Open Up Your Eyes' and the multiple-part 'Cosmic Symphony' - the album is every bit as breathtaking as the debut. Portnoy stresses that the music's proggier path was "not conscious at all." The drummer continues: "Direction was never even discussed. We just did what we do. I think perhaps not having a producer to 'trim the fat' possibly led to the songs breathing and expanding a bit more." Perhaps Steve Morse sums things up best with the statement: "This is an album full of many layers. The more you listen, the more you can hear. It's an album to keep listening to."
Neal Morse/"?" ....CD $13.99
Neal Morse's much anticipated new release has been shrouded in mystery from the beginning. Affectionately known as Neal's 'Secret Project,' this CD is a musical landscape that has no equal. With startling performances by an unprecedented array of geniuses like the early Genesis legend Steve Hackett, mastermind Roine Stolt from Sweden's Flower Kings, arguably the finest keyboard player alive today, Jordan Rudess, and the quirky genius Neal's own brother Alan Morse from Spock's Beard, this CD does not disappoint. Neal's creativity is in full swing and his voice has never sounded better. Laid upon the prog solid foundation produced by Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater (Drums) and Randy George of Ajalon (Bass) this is 56 minute epic that never lets up. With Roine Stolt and Mike Portnoy present the Transatlantic comparisons are bound to be made, but this is an album all its own. After all the hype, all there is is the music. And there it is in all its glory. Listen for yourself and see...or would it be hear? As for the subject matter of the album: Neal says "If you show someone a door and say 'here's a door, walk through it' they'll probably say 'forget it'! But, if you show them a wall and say 'there's a door here somewhere find it!' it becomes much more interesting. It is always more interesting when you find something for yourself."
Neal Morse/? Live ....double CD $19.99
Neal Morse is known for many things. As founder of both Spock's Beard and Transatlantic, he is known for his amazing talents on the keyboards and guitars as well as being the main vocalist and songwriter. However, he is also known as one of the world's great front men and his live shows have reached legendary status. So, then, why have there been no live albums since his departure from the aforementioned bands? Well, only Mr. Morse knows the answer to that question; all we can say about this new live album, his first official live album as a solo artist, is "it's about time!" This live album is stellar in its quality of musicianship and performances. Unbelievable melodies, ripping riffs and brilliant composition are laced throughout this album that captures the audience and their excitement as well as the impeccable musicianship that Morse's fans have come to expect. Joined by some of the best musicians in Europe, Neal lays down more than two hours of his best work! This is a shockingly good live album.
Neal Morse/Lifeline ....CD $13.99
Hot on the heels of his breakthrough concert DVD, Sola Scriptura & Beyond, Morse unleashes another progressive rock masterpiece with Lifeline. But where do you go from Beyond? Lifeline is a collection of songs exploring a variety of topics in musical styles ranging from the classic sound of early Spock's Beard to the fiery intensity of Sola Scriptura. For the first time in his solo career, 'most' of the album's songs span five minutes. (Then again, this IS a Neal Morse album. So yeah, you're also in for a 30 minute prog tour de force with the majestic epic "So Many Roads," not to mention the 13 minute title track.) Overall, Lifeline is a breathtaking leap into uncharted musical territory, and a triumphant return to the eclectic sound of his early work with Spock's Beard and Transatlantic.
Neal Morse/Live Momentum ....2 DVD + 3 CD set $31.99
When progressive rock icon Neal Morse was preparing to tour his highly acclaimed 2012 studio release, "Momentum," he turned to YouTube to audition touring players to support his faithful duo of Mike Portnoy (drums) and Randy George (bass). He had high hopes, but the final players selected from more than 70 applicants dramatically surpassed his expectations. They hit the road for an 8-stop North American tour. And now that band's epic New York performance is captured on the new "Live Momentum" 2DVD/3CD Box Set. Fortified by the energetic live contributions of Eric Gillette (keyboards, guitars, vocals), Bill Hubauer (keyboards, violin, sax, vocals) and Adson Sodre (guitar and vocals), Morse, Portnoy and George blazed through two lengthy sets that spanned Morse's entire, highly-heralded catalog, with the exception of material from "Testimony 2," which was previously captured in 2011's "Testimony 2: Live in Los Angeles" box set. The setlist is mammoth. The players are virtuosic. Their performances are jaw-dropping. And this dynamic box set documents it all - including a special one-hour behind the scenes look at the tour. It's a Morse tradition to go big, and this new release unquestionably extends his powerful legacy of merging musical madness with addictive melodies in epic compositions that showcase the masterful musicianship of every member on stage. "Live Momentum" reveals the exceptionally inspired nature of this unique band and leaves listeners and viewers mimicking those in the audience on this tour-shaking their heads and wondering, "How could they possibly top that?" This Enormous 2 DVD / 3CD set includes over 4 hours of video, including an exclusive Tour Documentary and over 3 hours of audio.
Neal Morse/Momentum ....CD $16.99
Neal Morse/Momentum (Deluxe Edition) ....CD + DVD $24.99
The time has come to announce one of the most anticipated album releases for 2012, "Momentum." With longtime music companions, Mike Portnoy and Randy George, at the helm of bass and drums, and special guests Paul Gilbert and Chris Carmichael, Neal Morse has once again created a prog masterpiece. "Momentum" features five exceptional stand alone songs and one longer conceptual piece. In addition to the accessible title track, there's the quirkily clever, Gentle Giant-inspired "Thoughts Part 5," which follows in the footsteps of the previous "Thoughts" tracks penned by Morse with Spocks Beard. "Smoke and Mirrors" trods an introspective, acoustic path, while "Weathering Sky" offers a raucous cry for deliverance and renewal from a searching soul. Rounding out the shorter tracks is "Freak," an upbeat, strings-charged song unlike anything Neal has recorded to date. Last comes "World Without End," a near 34-minute, six-part epic that contains everything that defines Morse as a master of the genre. The Special Edition also includes the full, behind the scenes "Making of" DVD which captures Neal, Mike and Randy at their best in the studio, doing what they love most, making music.

Says Mike Portnoy - "I've got to say... as a fan of this wonderful music, how incredible this is! I am so happy to see this come to fruition. This music really deserves this....everything from the incredible presentation, and all these amazing musicians...it's great to hear this music come to life on stage like this. To be doing it in his hometown with all his friends and family present and to be doing it here in this building that has such incredible importance to him and his story, it's elevated the music to a whole new level. This is just been an amazing experience!"
Neal Morse/Neal Morse ....CD $12.99
Neal says of his new album: "It was a lot of fun doing it, but, scary.....you know? It was weird not having anyone to bounce any ideas off of. But it was a gas playing all the parts. I love to play....I'll admit it! You can expect to hear a wide variety of styles. There's piano oriented pop songs, guitar heavy ones like Tom Petty or something, some Spock's sounding stuff....all in all there's 7 regular songs and one 23:00 long progressive thing called "A Whole Nother Trip." Actually I just said that for people who are listening to the album and haven't heard Spock's Beard....for Spock's Beard fans it won't be a surprise! It's a really cool album, if I do say so myself, and I hope people dig it."
Neal Morse/One ....CD $13.99
NEAL MORSE ONE - At long last. The holy grail of prog! Take great artists like NEAL MORSE, MIKE PORTNOY and PHIL KEAGGY and put them together and LOOK OUT! Heres how one reviewer put it: Take Transatlantic, the orchestral beauty of Testimony and some clear nods to the prog greats of Genesis, YES, and Gentle Giant, along with some lesser pop sounds like old Tears For Fears and some Who derived moments and Neal's inescapable Beatles influence and you have it all. This is ONE great album! He goes on to say: Speaking of Portnoy. Hold on to your socks! There are some absolute freak out moments of drum god envy going on! I mean that guy has done some freaky stuff with Dream Theater to say the least but there are a couple of tunes on here like "Author Of Confusion" that were seemingly written to give Portnoy the opportunity to shine, I dare say, brighter than ever before! Also featured on the album is the guitar work and vocals of the great PHIL KEAGGY who also sings a duet with Neal (The Cradle to the Grave).
Neal Morse/So Many Live Roads In Europe ....triple CD $18.99
This is the quintessential live CD from Neal Morse! Recorded at some of the best venues in Europe, this contains breathtaking performances handpicked by Neal Morse from a series of concerts with his critically acclaimed European band. Neal says "There's some really special moments like Jessica singing the angelic section of Spock's Beard's 'At the End of the Day' and of course the rockin' 'Author of Confusion/I'm the Guy' medley. I also really enjoy our rendition of the Spock's Beard classic 'Walking On The Wind.' That Euro band rules!" With a cross section of the best of Neal's career, from Spock's Beard greats to Transatlantic classics as well as his newer solo work, this is a live album that will please fans to no end.
Neal Morse/Sola Scriptura ....CD $13.99
Neal Morse's controversial new album's title "Sola Scriptura" is as interesting and provocative as the music itself. Featuring Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater and the riveting guitar work of Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big), this album is huge in scope and sound! Filled with incredible melodies, cascading guitar and keyboards and all the great composition this ex Spock's Beard leader is known for, "Sola Scriptura" reaches beyond what one would think possible in a progressive rock epic. Lyrically it draws on the life of Martin Luther, the Christian reformer who lived in the early 1500s. (He's the one who nailed the 95 theses on the door of the Cathedral in Germany and rocked the entire world at the time.) "I tried to imagine what it must have been like to go up against corruption in high places and risk life and limb for what you believe is right," says Morse. Will this album be controversial? Surely. But Morse has never been one to draw away from a challenge. Musically it's as hard hitting and intricately beautiful as Morse's best work. With 3 long pieces (the longest clocking in at 29 minutes!) and one shorter ballad, this has all of Morse's trademark moments and the addition of Paul Gilbert's blistering guitar work puts it over the top.
Neal Morse/Sola Scriptura and Beyond ....double DVD $19.99

This is Neal Morse at the top of his game. A must have for all Neal Morse fans as well as anyone who just loves great music. Audio mixed by Jerry Guidroz and Neal Morse.
Neal Morse/Songs from November ....CD $16.99
The new album, set to be released on August 19, 2014, is said to be Neal's, "singer-songwriter - 'feel good' album." Full of strong melodies and powerfully personal stories, it's not the prog album you might expect from the progmeister - these songs are from Neal's mellower, simpler side. In the words of one reviewer, 'Songs From November' is, "more in the vein of 1999's self titled CD and 2001's It's Not Too Late... despite the lack of Prog moments, this album is every bit Neal Morse."
Neal Morse/Testimony ....double CD $19.99
This is Neal's first outing since his departure from SPOCK'S BEARD and the renowned 'supergroup' TRANSATLANTIC, and what an outing it is! Testimony is a 2 CD set with more than 2 hours of music from the mind behind some of the best prog of the last ten years. Neal has apparently pulled out all the stops employing members of the NASHVILLE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, as well as fellow Transatlantian MIKE PORTNOY, and some new guests like KERRY LIVGREN of Kansas.
Neal Morse/Testimony 2 ....double CD $21.99
Neal Morse/Testimony 2 (Deluxe Edition) ....double CD + DVD $29.99
In 2003, acclaimed solo artist, former Spock's Beard front-man and current Transatlantic force Neal Morse released his Testimony album. It was an artistic triumph that was and is still considered one of his best to date. With Testimony 2, Neal goes even deeper into unchartered musical and lyrical territory. Incorporating the legendary drummer Mike Portnoy and the excellent bassist, Randy George, this breathtaking album is a prog epic with depth that will dazzle and melodies that reach into the soul. Superb camera work, (complete with swooping crane shots), great sound and lighting capture this emotional performance by these world-class musicians in an astounding way. And if the whole Testimony album weren't enough, then they come back for encores of classic material from Spocks Beard and Transatlantic. The Neal Morse Band/The Grand Experiment ....CD $16.99
The Neal Morse Band/The Grand Experiment [Special Edition] ....double CD + DVD $29.99
For the first time ever prog icon Neal Morse came into a recording session with his long time friend and collaborator Mike Portnoy, Randy George, Bill Hubauer and Eric Gillette...with NOTHING! He had no prepared material at all. Neal comments, "I wanted to see what it would be like to create freely in the room with no preconceived notions. It was quite a risk!" On previous albums, like the Testimony album for example, Morse had the entire album written in advance. "I used to be rather paranoid about whether things would turn out in the short space of time we had available...so I would fill all the space in advance!" This album was totally different. "I made a lot of room for the other guys to create and express themselves and the result is outstanding! We wanted to experiment, do something a bit different, and see what everyone is capable of...we found out...in SPADES!" The results are obvious! This was a "grand experiment" that produced something far beyond anyone's expectations! Neal Morse Band/The Similitude of a Dream [Deluxe Edition] ....double CD + DVD $27.99

This is the second studio release from the collective minds of prog legends Neal Morse and Mike Portnoy with their resident cohort Randy George and relative newcomers Eric Gillette and Bill Hubauer. At the conclusion of the grueling recording sessions, Mr. Portnoy said rather prophetically: "Boys, I think we just made the album of our careers." Morse Portnoy and George/Cover to Cover ....CD $13.99
Mike Portnoy makes no mistake about being a huge fan of music from his past. Here is a complete collection of all the covers these guys have recorded over the years plus 7 new songs. From the coolness of their version of the Monkees' "Pleasant Valley Sunday" to the gripping "Maybe I'm Amazed" to the rocking fun of "I'm the Man," let's just say we think you'll dig it. Here's what Mike Portnoy has to say about it: "It comes down to this: I am a music fan. No matter how old I get or how much success I've had, I will always be that 11 year old kid in the KISS Army jamming along to Who tunes in my bedroom. Because of this, I still LOVE playing covers. I have been able to tap into my Metal and Prog influences choosing covers with DT, but another HUGE side of my inspiration are my Classic Rock influences from the 60's and 70's. For the most part, the guys in DT don't share this same background so I've never been able to cover these classic bands with them. However Neal and Randy TOTALLY do share this background, so when choosing covers with them rather than taking the obvious PROG road, we've enjoyed paying tribute to the more retro, pop-oriented side of our shared taste. Gathered here on this CD is a collection of all of the covers we did together throughout the sessions for Neal's Testimony, One and ? sessions. Expand your prog ears and enjoy!" MP Also includes Badge, Where Do The Children Play, Feeling Stronger Everyday, Rock And Roll Suicide, Where The Streets Have No Name, Day After Day, What Is Life, I'm Free / Sparks, Tuesday Afternoon, Find My Way Back Home.
Morse Portnoy & George/Cover 2 Cover ....CD $16.99
Return of the Giants? Hogweed! Get ready for another dazzling disc of remarkable re-imaginings from prog's de facto trio. What songs will they tackle? How will their influences manifest themselves? Will Randy complete his transformation to Rob Halford? "Cover 2 Cover" is the new CD from Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy and Randy George! Together this group of musicians hand-picked these classic cover songs to complete the second such CD in the bands extensive catalog. This widely diverse selection of songs is sure to capture the essence of the age of music that has impacted these accomplished musicians! "One of the first things myself, Neal and Randy usually start talking about when we gather for one of Neal's solo albums is what we can cover should we have some leftover time at the end of the session. And now over the course of both CD's, we have covered 28 songs! Ranging from the obscure to the classics. Like the first Cover To Cover, most of the song choices on this CD are rooted in the 70's and are songs/ bands we grew up with," says drummer Mike Portnoy. With nine brand new songs along with five previously recorded ones, Morse, Portnoy and George once again create an album of songs that is sure to be enjoyed for years to come. Includes songs by Todd Rundgren, Steely Dan, Jethro Tull, Styx, Neil Young, King Crimson and more!

With such a wealth and diversity of instructional and performance material, In Constant Motion is recommended for drummers of all interest and ability levels. Neal Morse watched it and this is what he had to say about it: "Wow! The packaging and production values on this thing are amazing. It had live Transatlantic footage that I've never seen! With great sound and multi cameras....where did Mike find all that great stuff? It also has great footage of the Testimony band playing in Whittier at the end of the Testimony tour. Spock's Beard/Snow ....double CD $19.99
Neal Morse has jumped over his own shadow. "Until now I've always been absolutely against making a concept album," he admits. "It's so difficult getting the lyrics and the music into the proper balance, and so hard to really combine these two worlds into one unit. But in this particular case I felt that we had a story linking all of our new songs and needed enough room to make something really special." Morse is speaking about Spock's Beard's new double album Snow, a monumental work with over 26 songs and more than 115 (!!) minutes of playing time. Snow is certainly not for the superficial, musical fast-food loving fan. However, for fans of passionately played, diversely arranged, orchestrated rock, this album will open up a world into which one can happily plunge and, for almost two hours, leave the horrors of today's one-dimensional music landscape far, far behind. So it's no wonder that drummer legend Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) spoke about Snow so enthusiastically in the July 2002 edition of the French ´Rock Hard` magazine: "I think that Spock's Beard's seven year career has been continuously developing and leading up to this album. Snow is an exemplary concept album in the tradition of The Who´s Tommy or Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and has earned the right to be mentioned in the same breath as these classics in the annals of Rock' n 'Roll."
