This page is for established artists you may already be familiar with who are just starting their own label or are on a fairly small independent label. Such being the case, their catalog is still small with maybe just a couple titles so far. So it's important to patronize these artists to assure their continued independent work.

Terry, born in London, England, was at the very heart of the British rock scene in the
late sixties, playing drums with the progressive rock band Dry Ice. He recorded a minor
hit single, "Running To The Convent," and the self-titled album Dry Ice for
B&C Records, a subsidiary of the Island label. During this period he toured and played
many major venues including the Star Club in Hamburg and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
A chance meeting with the manager of one of Europe's best known vocal groups, The Taggs,
soon led to him playing on the Taggs European No. 1 hit "Saturday" released
through Olga Records in 1969. Terry then spent some time in the USA jamming with as
many musicaians in as many styles of music as he could, not knowing that this would be
invaluable in the coming years. On his return to England, Terry answered and ad in the
British music magazine Melody Maker. The ad was placed by Renaissance.
The band Terry was searching for would have many diverse musical styles from folk to
classical. Renaissance was the answer. He has been with them during their most productive
periods, releasing many albums and touring extensively. The last couple of years has seen
Annie, Terry and Michael reunited for two albums and some dates in London and Japan.
Most recently Terry has been writing and recording his own album with contributions
from his great friends, including the former Renaissance pianist John Tout and lyricist
Betty (Thatcher) Newsinger for the album South Of Winter.
Terry Sullivan's Renaissant/South of Winter ....import CD $16.99

Terry Sullivan, from the brilliant seventies group Renaissance, knows what the freedom of those golden days were like and took his time recording his first solo record, South of Winter. Those of you familiar with the music of Renaissance know the meticulous structure and grace of their songs. This trademark commitment to perfection defined them as one of the forerunners of progressive music. Calling the group Renaissant, meaning 'of or pertaining to Renaissance,' Terry acknowledges the future while giving a nod to the past. From the resonating opening notes of the perfectly titled "Carry Me Home" into the lush verse and chorus it becomes apparent that this dedication to strive for perfection has not diminished over the years. Knowing this was to be his most personal project, he enlisted the people dearest to him. A close circle of family and friends including Renaissance lyricist Betty Thatcher Newsinger and the magnificent John Tout (a fellow band member of Renaissance) to not just relive, but revive his legendary keyboard work. This results in a familiar and welcomed homecoming leaving the listener contently wrapped in a blanket of their warmest memories. Christine Sullivan, Terry's wife, wonderfully recaptures the allure of this romantic music with a remarkably soothing vocal.

Syn/Syndestructible Tour ....DVD $18.98

Chris Squire, Steve Nardelli, and Alan White in a live performance at the Somerville Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts on January 19th, 2006. In 1965, the members of The Syn met at the crossroads of '60s psychedelia and pop, performing at London's legendary Marquee club with the likes of Pink Floyd and Hendrix, and recording a handful of underground classics ('Flowerman', '14 Hour Technicolour Dream'). Then, just as quickly, they were gone. A surprise reunion four decades later saw them record their first-ever album of new material -- Syndestructible -- and hit the road for a few intimate live dates in the US... another first. This show, recorded at Boston's historic Somerville Theater on a cool winter's night in January, finds the band in remarkable form.

By special arrangement with The Syn and YesServices, we are pleased to bring you this special double disc edition of Original Syn. This is a significant part of Yes history as it features bassist Chris Squire and guitarist Peter Banks just prior to the founding of Yes. Yes fans will also recognize the name of keyboardist Andrew Jackman, a long time friend of Squire's who played a significant role on Squire's classic solo release Fish Out of Water as well as one of Yes' greatest ballads, Onward. Vocalist Steve Nardelli, guitarist John Painter and drummers Gunnar Hakonarson and Martin Adelman round out the players of the 'original' Syn.
Contents include many recordings of Chris Squire on bass -- some at the age of 15 when the band was called The Selfs -- and other historic recordings that developed as the band became known as The Syn. The development of that recognizable Yes bass sound can definitely be seen here. The Archival Booklet contains 20 color pages, containing rare photographs, press clippings, and information from the 1960s, which tracks the band's history and development. The opening passage was contributed by Phil Collins. The bonus CD of this special edition starts with a brand new Syn piece, a 14 minute mini-epic produced by Peter Banks and featuring original members Nardelli, Banks and Adelman with Steve Gee on bass and Gerard Johnson on keyboards. Rounding out disc two is a 45+ minute Michele Moore interview with Chris Squire and Steve Nardelli from questions submitted by the fans. This is just the beginning of a rebirth for The Syn as Chris Squire and Steve Nardelli have continued their collaborations since the release of this special package, creating new music and developing plans for touring.

Andy Rinehart (singer/writer) released his debut CD, entitled "Jason's Chord" on CMP Records (Germany). The music is sometimes pop, sometimes compositional, and often inspired by a rucksack full of musical gifts gathered from around the globe. In addition, expect painterly rhythms, quixotic lyrics, and charged melodies. Andy may be described as itinerant, highly relevant, oblique, sincere, and fanatically irrelevant. Some of these things may be true.
Andy Rinehart/Pillbox ....CD $14.99

Andy Rinehart's newest is a long time in coming but exhibits the time spent through its crafted arrangements. True to Andy's previous releases this is the work of a rock songsmith with a penchant for the composer's approach. String and wind players occasionally join band members Matte Henderson (guitars and programming), Gregg Sulzer (drums) and Walter Strauss (guitars), who weave amongst Rineharts quirky-organic programming and multi-instrumental performances. This is a record where mandolas, accordions and oboes commune with subterranean grooves and aggressive guitar noise-scapes all disguised by songwriting that could almost be mistaken for pop. Quirky, organic and loopy; intricate, cinematic and orchestrated; sensitive, aggressive and honest, this album leaves only a few musical corners unexplored. Warning: moments of above-average chord count may cause disorientation! It deserves mention that this new album by Andy Rinehart also serves as a mini gallery for visual artist-collaborator Keith LoBue who's numerous otherworldly works underline and comment on the musical and lyrical content.
Andy Rinehart/Jason's Chord ....import CD $15.99

Due to the recent troubles of CMP I've had to disappoint quite a number of customers who were looking for this CD. Imagine my absolute delight when I got an e-mail from Andy saying, "I have a bunch of Jason's Chord CD's. Think you could sell them?" This CD also features the incredible talents of guitarist/producer David Torn, bassist Mick Karn and percussionist Kurt Wortman.
Andy Rinehart/Walking Home ....CD $9.99

Now available from Andy is his CD, Walking Home. Andy recorded and released these songs himself back in 1988. Two of the songs later appeared as new performances on Jason's Chord. You'll find them here in their original form along with eight other songs not available elsewhere. While Andy is a bit modest regarding this recording citing 'demo quality,' after listening to this CD several times I have to say that the performances are quite strong and that fans of Jason's Chord will definitely appreciate this CD.
