This page is for established artists you may already be familiar with who are just starting their own label or are on a fairly small independent label. Such being the case, their catalog is still small with maybe just a couple titles so far. So it's important to patronize these artists to assure their continued independent work.

It may be a fitting instance of fortuity that the initials of Aaron, Trey, Eddie, Alex,
and Marco happen to spell A-TEAM, because, as rock virtuosos, that's exactly what they
are: an A-team of "musicians' musicians," and a likely 2008 successor to the
great virtuoso bands of the past - Mahavishnu Orchestra, Zappa and The Mothers, King
Crimson and, of course, UK. Returning from a self-imposed 27-year retirement from
band and touring activity, keyboardist/electric violinist and UK co-founder, Eddie Jobson,
set out to find the same caliber of next-generation musicians for the new UKZ project that
would equal or surpass the talents of his previous colleagues and collaborators - an
already impressive list that includes Frank Zappa, Robert Fripp, Bill Bruford, Phil
Collins, John Entwistle, Ian Anderson, Simon Phillips, Terry Bozzio, Allan Holdsworth, and
Tony Levin. Jobson put together the ideal 'virtual band' by studying musicians'
performances on YouTube and - given his renown among musicians worldwide - received
instant acceptance from all of his first choices:
Aaron Lippert - a citizen of Belgium, but born and raised in New York - the former lead
singer and songwriter for Columbia recording artists Expanding Man.
Trey Gunn - a Texas native, currently residing in Seattle - a ten-year veteran of King
Crimson and the leading exponent of the Warr touch guitar.
Alex Machacek - from Vienna, Austria - an award-winning guitar prodigy and composer.
Marco Minnemann - from Hannover, Germany - a drumming phenomenon of unparalleled
virtuosity.
Five exceptional musicians, all citizens of different countries, coming together in a
digital collaboration over the internet to forge a new and innovative path - a musical
A-team poised to raise the bar one more time.
UKZ/Radiation ....EP CD $8.99

The first release from UKZ, a four-song EP featuring the talents of Eddie Jobson, Trey Gunn, Aaron Lippert, Alex Machacek, and Marco Minnemann. Recorded, mixed and produced by Eddie Jobson.
Drummer Mark Craney is the consumate musician who loves music in its varied forms. He has performed Progressive music with Jethro Tull, Funk with Tower of Power, R'n'B with Eric Burdon, Jazz with Jean Luc Ponty, pop with Gino Vanelli, and much, much more!
Unfortunately, Mark is experiencing some serious medical problems and is presently on the transplant list at the UCLA Medical Center to await a double kidney and pancreas transplant! It was the idea of Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull to put together this CD as a benefit towards Mark's considerable medical expenses. Mark's good friends Doane Perry (Jethro Tull's drummer) and guitarist Bill Forth of Ten Seconds stepped forward to handle most of the coordination of this project. And an incredible roster of friends came forth to participate in this event.
This is a completely unique CD which represents a range of artists that would normally not appear together under the same musical umbrella. Mark is the musical and personal thread that weaves all of these musicians together. There is a wide spectrum of performances, some featuring Mark while others are a tribute to him. You'll find some unreleased live tracks here and some new studio tracks recorded specifically for this project. All sales go directly to benefit Mark to help with his recovery.
* It is with sad regret that we must note the passing of Mark Craney in November of 2005. He will be missed.

Also included is the five movement piece, Castle of the Gods, along with other works. Featured on the CD are Vince's fellow Thread member and Jethro Tull drummer, Doane Perry, and Bowie/Tin Machine guitarist Reeve Gabrels.
