CMP is certainly one of the most eclectic jazz/rock/world music labels out there hosting such incredible talent as David Torn, Mick Karn, Andy Summers, Jack Bruce, Trilock Gurtu, Glen Velez Ed Mann, Chad Wackerman, Michael Shrieve, Bernie Worrell, Sonny Sharrock & Nicky Skopelitis, and so many more.
Small wonder, then, that so many fans were left gasping for breath when CMP CD's became as rare as a black rhino. However, thanks to Silva Screen Records, the entire CMP catalog has been resurrected! And a nod of thanks to Andy Rinehart who helped make the connection.

The Next Dream, Bachir Attar's recording debut as a leader, is one of the most remarkable fusions of musical styles ever produced. Attar is heir to the ancient Sufi lineage of the Master Musicians of Jajouka whose music has been preserved for thousands of years in the mountains of Morocco, enchanting all who experience its hallucinatory power. This is a collection taken from Jack Bruce's work on the CMP label including tracks from his albums Monkjack, Somethin Els and Cities of the Heart, as well as collaborations found on Mark Nauseef's album, Wun Wun and the Nauseef/Tadic album, The Snake Music. There are also two previously unreleased tracks - Politician and Sitting on Top of the World.

This is a collection taken from Mick's CMP recordings, The Tooth Mother and Bestial Cluster, and his work on other CMP recordings including Polytown with David Torn and Terry Bozzio, Lonely Universe and Andy Rinehart's Jason's Chord.
